How many refrigerators and freezers does a family with 12 kids have? Lord, I have 3 refrigerators and two freezers with two little kids plus mom's wine fridge. These units are good for 4-5 days. Of course, if you change your own oil and can adjust valves if warranted you can get them going again for another 4-5 days. I have the portable 17500 Generac but I think I'm going to get a standby probably 26KW or perhaps liquid cooled.

Did you install or hookup a grounding electrode conductor?

Can you run the control wires in the same conduit as the feeders to the generator?

I know this is a year old . I was given a chicken house form like tractor supply carries. It had a rotten top so I made it a A roof. Then the part that was for the laying box slash roost , I put a wood floor . Then I took a piece of linoleum and cut to fit the floor . Put my wood shavings in . Now when I need to clean it out I just gather the chicks and pick up the flooring dump it off wash it let it dry some and return it . Made cleaning out so much easier. Great brooder you built. Be nice to have helpers like you got . Beautiful family .

What about the power take-off? I mow a lot, it has to work.

I had a wire cable on my VW car and it broke. The replacement came from Brazil and was hard to find. I put several on myself and one stuck open and tbe car shot off. i was on a rural road or i would have rear-ended somebody. I was able to stop it. Always a problem: rope cable, Spring. Ugh. Springs break too.

Enjoying watching your install video. I am nowhere near ready to do something like that but I do have my generator sitting here at the house waiting. Question though. You mentioned that you are using sprinkler system wire for the communications wires. I called Generac after reading in the install manual that it specifically states the use of low voltage wires for those is prohibited. I know everyone in Houston seems to be using that same stuff though. I guess maybe if something happened with a control board and if a warranty rep came out and flagged that they could technically avoid the warranty? Any thoughts?

The manual calls for 5W-30 oil not 5W-20. You may want to measure out the 1.9 quarts before guessing the amount.

I believe this sweet baby has already drawn you closer to the Father :) I would rather have one that had disabilities than one strung out on drugs or alchol, we don't always understand the Will of the Father but His word promises us that He worketh all things to our good, to those that love God and are the called according to His purpose, praying the Lord keeps working in that sweet baby to draw you right where you need to be :) I used to think because of the way I lived I was close to him but when hard times come he seems like a God that hideth himself Isaiah 45:15 :) He is right there always love and prayers for your baby and companion !! ps my wife has bought 2 gallon of that cleaning stuff she uses it everywhere :)

With respect to plastic bushings, why do you really need them if the pipe is plastic. It's not going to shred the wires. It seems redundant. Now for metal pipe with sharp threads, makes sense.

If you would have used some copper wires probably would have been easier to work with, feed through that 2.5" hole.

at 1:50, you should toggle that I/O switch to the O position so the generator doesn't start.

So after the jars leave the pressure cooker, do they get refrigerated or are they good for dry storage?
